It's been so long that I literally forgot how to "upload art".  Seriously. It took me about seven minutes.  So I've been away from Deviantart for awhile to say the least.  It just happened due to general life circumstances, including this wonderful situation:



My baby boy is almost a year old now, but they aren't kidding when they say time flies after having a child.  He is my 24/7 and I wouldn't trade it for anything! That being said, I am hoping to make a return to sharing my art, working on fun projects, and uploading to DA. 

Thank you so much for the continued comments, faves, and questions.  I look forward to spending some time catching up with my favorite artists and returning to the scene.  Baby does not equal the end of creative projects and dreams...but it does justify a lengthy hiatus!

3. Scrooge gets dragged to hell by the Third Ghost in Disney's Christmas Carol...it's pretty ...um...disturbing for a kid's movie, but also a powerful scene before Scrooge  finally repents

I also love anything else from Mulan, Hunchback, Little Mermaid, or Beauty and the Beast.  I recall a beautiful song from "The Rescuers" but I forgot what it was called.

The fantastic, wonderful Loom of "Vampire Fetish" featured "Geode Corner" in a favorable and fun review hosted on her website.  This is quite an honor for me because Loom is one of my favorite web-artists for many reasons.

She is a great comicker so be sure to check her work.Loom is an incredible artist with a really unique retro style.  I was always drawn to Loom's traditional art methods and her superb storytelling. I appreciate how Loom gives you the full story on her artwork, often revealing the process, early images, and concept art.

Loom, as you may already know, also contributes to the webcomic community in many ways, from tutorials to articles. If you like the twisted humor and quirky characters in my comic, you'll LOVE Loom's work...so go read her stuff if you haven't discovered it yet!

So...Sandy.

The inland communities here in New England didn't get hit as bad as New Jersey and NYC.  We had some wind and branches down but it was nothing compared to the devastation in the Mid-Atlantic.  It's a mess.  Northern/Central New England didn't get hit as hard, although some coastal areas saw some nasty beach erosion and flooding.

According to the Rhode Island Convention site, the comic convention IS still going to happen in Providence (which I'm surprised about, to be honest! I heard the city experienced some flooding.)

If you are interested in attending a comic con with some wonderful guests, head over to Rhode Island this weekend and support New England as it keeps nerding and geeking, despite the bad weather.  I will be there doodling, drawing, and fangirling in Artist Alley.

Halloween has something against the East Coast lately.  Last year we were buried in snow, and this year our coastal towns and cities are without power and flooded.  Wherever you are, whatever the weather, I hope you have a Happy Halloween and may your jack-o-lantern lights shine through any storm!

I just wanted to wish a Happy Birthday (it's his birthday weekend) to the incredible of Random!
